Slotted hole applications

Screw-locking elements should always be mounted on an even backing layer. This cannot normally be achieved with slotted holes. Attempts to use conventional washers as screw-locking elements on slotted-hole applications invariably result in washer deformation and subsequent screw loosening. The solution frequently used in practice: a plain washer with a locking element represents a significant risk factor.
